Job summary

Chatham Bars Inn is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the guestrooms and public areas in excellent condition. You will follow Forbes, AAA, and hotel standards, remove trash and keep amenities stocked, ensuring a spotless guest experience on a Forbes Five-Star property.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or with a team, flexibility, and physical stamina including lifting up to 50 lbs. Training is provided, with competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure occupied and vacant guestrooms are cleaned to standard.
• Remove trash, linen, terry and personal items from previous guest.
• Clean guestrooms thoroughly using provided chemicals and equipment.
• Arrange toiletries, clothing and guest items to standard.
• Replenish amenities and terry items.
• Make beds to appearance standard.
• Remove room service trays and items from public areas and request removal.
• Double-check cleanliness of completed work area and placement of amenities in each complete guestroom.
• Report missing, damaged or substandard furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Ensure electronic devices are working properly.
• Complete assigned guestrooms with updated status.
• Organize supply closets and work areas.
• Return items left by guest to Lost & Found and adhere to policies.
