Job summary

Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego seeks an enthusiastic Event Sales Manager to lead full-cycle event sales, manage client relationships, and coordinate planning with the Banquet team for flawless execution.

You will generate new business, conduct site tours, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction from inquiry to event day while collaborating with operations to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel event sales or catering sales experience preferred.
• Proven ability to generate and close new business.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to conduct site tours and sell the resort's event experiences.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and partnerships.
• Respond to event inquiries, qualify opportunities, develop proposals, negotiate contracts and close deals.
• Build strong relationships with clients and be their trusted contact throughout planning.
• Plan and coordinate events from contract to day-of execution with the Banquet team.
• Collaborate with clients to translate vision into detailed event plans.
• Lead pre-event planning meetings and ensure smooth handoffs to Banquet operations.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and revenue forecasts; meet/exceed sales goals.
• Upsell opportunities to maximize event revenue (F&B, enhancements, guestrooms).
• Generate repeat business and referrals through exceptional client experiences.
