Job summary

The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center is seeking a Meetings & Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute group accommodations, meetings, banquets, and special events across a luxury hospitality complex. You will liaise with clients, sales, operations, culinary, and accounting teams to ensure flawless execution.

This role reports to the Director of Meetings & Events and drives revenue through thoughtful event design, pricing, and upsell opportunities while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, business, communications, or related field.
• Prior hotel, catering, conference services, meetings, events, or luxury hospitality experience required.
• Experience in a full-service, luxury, resort, boutique, or complex hospitality environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned group files, sales contracts, program agendas, room blocks, billing terms, concessions, and event requirements.
• Partner with Sales Managers to clarify contract details, client expectations, and opportunities for revenue growth.
• Ensure program agendas align with Function Diary, space availability, event flow, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate all group rooms needs, including rooming lists, cutoff dates, room block review, special requests, VIPs, and changes.
• Maximize revenue through upselling of rooms, food & beverage, AV, amenities, spa, restaurant experiences, and offsite venues.
