The Inn at Little Washington is seeking a dedicated Steward to maintain sanitation and cleanliness in back-of-house areas. You will support dish machine maintenance, organize storage, and help ensure Virginia health standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must work nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Follow directions and complete tasks timely.
• Self-motivated to work diligently, especially during service.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Desire to work quickly and efficiently.
• Desirable: Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of all plates, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Deep cleaning and organization projects as needed by management.
• Proper scrubbing and storing of pots and pans.
• Upkeep and cleaning of the employee dining area.
• Daily sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors before and after service.
• Cleaning of floor drains and catches.
• Assisting with polishing of service ware as needed.
• Organizing storage areas for cleaning supplies and non-food items.
• Communicate when cleaning supplies run low.
• Polishing of copper service ware as needed.
