Keswick Hall in Virginia seeks a Steward/Dishwasher to thoroughly clean china, glassware, utensils and silverware while keeping the kitchen and surrounding areas stocked. Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0–2 years of experience.
• Positive, self-motivated and professional attitude.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must tolerate hot and steamy environment and temperatures up to 105°F.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled items and prepare them for the dish machine.
• Transport garbage and recycling to disposal areas.
• Follow dish machine cleaning instructions and sanitation steps.
• Place glassware in designated racks for washing and storage.
• Rinse china and silverware to remove debris before loading the machine.
• Scrub pots and pans and rinse in sanitizing sinks.
• Retrieve plates and stock in designated area.
• Work with cleaning chemicals such as bleach, sanitizer and pot soap.
• Keep floors clean and safe; maintain a sanitary environment.
• Sweep, scrub and mop floors in and out of production areas.
• Discard trash/recycling in designated containers.
• Return cleaning equipment to storage areas.
• Ensure hand towels, soap and chemicals are stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
