Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. in Lexington, KY seeks a Design Consultant to create individualized design solutions and sell premium furniture and services. The role involves space planning, fabric coordination, product selection and delivering total design solutions that close sales.

You will greet customers, present plans, and collaborate with the team using design software and social media to grow the business, while providing exceptional service before and after the sale.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in design-related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that are consistent with the customer’s preference and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions, greet customers to establish rapport, obtain appointments and in-home consultations.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and various social media platforms to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers about complimentary design service and offer as much design service as desired.
• Stay current on design and color trends to create fashionable design solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service before and after the sale, keeping customers informed of order status.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on Ethan Allen sponsored finance options.
• Contribute to development and upkeep of the design center’s portfolio.
• Utilize corporate systems and technology to design projects, create presentations, and serve clients.
• Enter orders using the retail point of sale system.
• Work to maintain a neat and orderly design center.
• Work with leaders to develop business and grass roots marketing plans.
• Utilize technology (3-D Room Planner, CRM, Live Chat) to build volume and relationships.
• Use social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to heighten presence.
• Perform any other duties as required.
