Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to create individualized design solutions and sell our products and services.

You will greet customers, perform in-home consultations, and develop personalized plans that meet budgets while growing the client base through social media and grassroots marketing. Compensation is incentive-based, with draw and potential earnings reflecting sales performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design-related field desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Basic social media and grassroots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver's license for travel during business hours.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions aligned with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and conduct home calls.
• Utilize social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers about complimentary design services offered.
• Stay current on design and color trends to craft fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide seamless service before and after sale.
• Enter orders using the retail point of sale system.
• Develop business plans and grass roots marketing plans to expand market reach.
• Leverage technology (3D Room Planner, CRM, Live Chat) to manage projects.
