Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant in a full-time role in our Miami area design centers.

The candidate will create personalized design solutions, sell products and services, and greet customers to establish rapport for appointments and in-home consultations. You will leverage social media, stay current on trends, and collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional service throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills also required.
• General understanding of how to utilize social media and grass-roots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver’s license, for use during business hours, if needed.
• Intermediate skill using digital floor planning technology; 3D applications a plus.
• Experience with interactive tech to view design concepts (AR/VR).
• Willing to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions consistent with customer’s preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and conduct home visits to close sales.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and social platforms to grow the business.
• Educate customers about complimentary design services offered by Ethan Allen.
• Stay current on design and color trends to craft fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to maintain order status and customer communication.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on Ethan Allen finance options.
• Develop and maintain the design center’s portfolio.
• Use technology to design projects, create presentations, and service clients.
• Enter orders using the POS system.
• Maintain a neat, orderly design center.
• Collaborate with leaders to develop business and grass-roots plans.
• Utilize technology (3-D Room Planner, CRM, Live Chat) to build projects and client relations.
• Engage with social media (Facebook, Instagram) to heighten Ethan Allen’s presence.
• Perform any other duties as required.
