Job summary

The Pfister Hotel, a Marcus Hotels & Resorts property in Milwaukee, seeks an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to lead daily operations. You will focus on exceptional cleanliness, staff development, and maintaining the hotel’s renowned standards.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• High school diploma required; Hospitality Management degree preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily department operations with Director of Housekeeping to ensure exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Analyze operational challenges and recommend solutions that drive efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in managing departmental budgets, inventory controls, labor expenses, and financial performance.
• Lead, coach, and support housekeeping associates to achieve departmental goals and service excellence.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces to ensure brand and hotel standards compliance.
• Oversee staffing needs, scheduling, and daily work assignments.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
