Job summary

Corecruitment is assisting a luxury property in Menlo Park, CA to recruit an experienced Assistant Director of Housekeeping to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service.

The role reports to the Director of Housekeeping, leads a diverse team, conducts inspections, manages scheduling and payroll, and steps in when the Director is unavailable. Fluency in Spanish is required to communicate with a diverse guest and staff population.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory or management experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and luxury service standards.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Spanish-speaking ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Housekeeping with day-to-day operations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop housekeeping supervisors and staff.
• Ensure guest rooms, suites, and public areas meet luxury cleanliness standards.
• Conduct inspections and follow up on quality and service standards.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and departmental administration.
• Coordinate room assignments with Front Office and other departments.
• Monitor supplies, linen, uniforms, and inventory.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.
• Respond to guest requests and ensure follow-up.
• Lead the housekeeping operation in the Director's absence.
