Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Jacksonville seeks a Director of Security & Safety to lead pre-opening security, build world-class operations, and drive safety culture across guests, residents, and staff.

You will oversee risk management, emergency planning, and incident investigations while partnering with leadership and authorities to ensure ongoing protection and service excellence. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Director of Security in luxury hotels.
• Pre-opening security leadership in hospitality preferred.
• Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills are a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, crisis response, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening strategy for the Security department.
• Develop and implement security, safety, and risk programs.
• Establish security policies and emergency protocols.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing Security team.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
• Oversee physical security operations including access control and surveillance.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on safety and security planning.
• Build relationships with law enforcement and authorities.
• Lead crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor security trends and regulatory requirements.
• Manage departmental budgets and security investments.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
