Job summary

The InterContinental Indianapolis, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and uphold brand standards. This role reports to the Executive Housekeeper and ensures guest rooms and public areas meet quality expectations.

You will supervise room attendants and public areas staff, coordinate room status with the front desk, and enforce safety and cleanliness protocols while driving guest satisfaction and team development.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory housekeeping experience in a high-volume hotel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and train room attendants and public areas staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department under guidance of Executive Housekeeper.
• Coordinate room status with front desk.
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed.
• Inspect cleanliness of rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms and public areas as assigned.
• Enforce standard procedures for lost and found items.
• Assist in inventories of supplies and equipment and manage orders.
• Provide ongoing training to room attendants, public area attendants, and housepersons.
• Assist in cost control and payroll.
