Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Indianapolis is seeking a Housekeeping Room Attendant to ensure every room meets our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. You will assist guests and keep supervisors informed of progress and issues, while managing supplies to minimize waste.

The role emphasizes physical fitness, reliability, and attention to detail, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Weekend and holiday work are required as part of a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy duty cleaning experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in housekeeping is required, preferably in a high-volume hotel, conference center or resort.
• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
• Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning standards and safety
• Professional attitude with guest and team members; must follow uniform and grooming guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Making sure every single room is at its absolute best for our guests
• Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they’ve forgotten their toothbrush or just need to find the elevator
• Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
• Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimize waste
• Doing your best to reunite guests with any lost or misplaced items
• Regularly assisting with deep clean projects
