Job summary

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Indianapolis is seeking a dependable housekeeping supervisor to lead the housekeeping team in maintaining clean guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of managing day-to-day operations.

This role requires 4+ years of hotel housekeeping experience, 2+ years with IHG brands preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 4+ years of Hotel housekeeping experience (required).
• 2+ years of IHG hotel experience (preferred).
• IHG training certifications (preferred).
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for reports, inventory, and checklists.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for long periods.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
• Lead daily housekeeping operations and conduct team shift meetings.
• Supervise, train, and assist housekeeping staff as needed.
• Ensure equipment (vacuums, carts, laundry machines) is maintained and functional.
• Track and manage supplies, inventory, and guest loaned items (e.g., cribs, rollaway beds).
• Communicate with maintenance and front desk teams for efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records: checklists, inventory logs, training sheets, etc.
• Monitor safety and sanitation compliance; enforce key control and guest privacy policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and assist with issues professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
