Job summary

InterContinental Indianapolis is seeking a Housekeeping Houseperson to assist its housekeepers in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You’ll operate cleaning equipment, move furniture, and help with turning mattresses and removing drapes, supporting a premium guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Physical role requiring being on your feet most of the day.
• Strength to lift up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and push/pull heavy objects.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates housekeeping cleaning equipment including carpet/floor care tools as assigned.
• Move furniture as necessary.
• Participate in general cleaning with tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes.
• Ensure that all equipment is distributed and maintained in proper operating order.
• Ensure that all linen closets are stocked.
• Ensure delivery of guest request items to guest rooms.
• Ensure that trash is collected and disposed of properly.
• Perform additional assigned general tasks.
