Job summary

Elysée New York, operated by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead shifts, inspect rooms and public spaces, and ensure Forbes Five‑Star readiness. This role partners with the Director to coach staff and maintain luxury service quality in a busy Manhattan property.

The position requires 1–2 years of supervisory housekeeping in a luxury hotel, strong leadership, and flexible scheduling. Opera Cloud proficiency and a commitment to guest privacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a luxury New York hotel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Forbes/Leading Quality Assurance standards.
• Proficiency with Opera Cloud or similar property management system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the assigned shift and maintain an active presence across guest floors, public areas, laundry, linen and uniform operations.
• Review occupancy, arrivals, departures, VIPs, returning guests, known preferences, priority rooms, and the daily assignment board.
• Monitor attendance, call-ins, room status, workload, and adjust coverage accordingly.
• Complete a pass-on for the next shift and elevate unresolved issues to housekeeping leadership.
• Inspect rooms and public areas, verify cleanliness and readiness before release.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Security, F&B, and Guest Relations to resolve readiness and service concerns.
