Job summary

The Knox Hotel Employer LLC is seeking a friendly Host to deliver exceptional service from arrival to departure at The Knox. You will manage guest flow, greet guests, handle check-ins and seating, and coordinate with restaurant and pool teams to create a welcoming first impression.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a guest-first mindset, and experience with reservation systems (OpenTable) or basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant hosting, or guest services.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with a professional and engaging demeanor upon arrival and manage guest check-ins, waitlists, and seating.
• Escort guests to tables and ensure a smooth and welcoming transition into service.
• Answer phones, manage reservations, and maintain accurate records in reservation systems.
• Take in-room dining orders when applicable and ensure proper communication with the team.
• Coordinate with restaurant and/or pool staff to optimize seating and guest flow.
• Assist in preparing station charts, assigning sections, and supporting table setup organization.
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate updates clearly to guests.
• Monitor and update guest profiles, including VIP arrivals and special requests.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are clean, updated, and well-stocked at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the host stand and surrounding areas.
• Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to assist guest inquiries.
