Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is hiring a Guest Experience Supervisor for Hotel Cala in Tampa, FL. This role oversees front desk operations, leads the team, and ensures outstanding guest service at all times.

The position supports training, staffing, and collaboration with maintenance and leadership to deliver exceptional experiences. The hotel is a Grand Opening project with a focus on hospitality excellence, inclusion, and employee development.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of hotel Front Desk operations.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
• Assign specific duties to staff for efficient operation of department.
• Assist in training new associates and cross-training existing associates.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring new associates for the department.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale. Treat people with respect. Recognize associate successes.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure staff responds appropriately in emergencies.
• Monitor daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates and packages.
• Coordinate blocking of rooms and pre-register guests according to standards.
• Complete and monitor employee schedules and monitor VIP arrivals.
• Notify Maintenance of issues and ensure readiness for check-in.
• Hire, coach and discipline direct reports and provide professional guest interactions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policy and Fair Labor Standards Act.
