Job summary

Riggs Washington DC, a luxury hotel housed in a historic Bank of Presidents building, seeks a senior General Manager to lead strategy, people, and operations. You will guide a high-performing leadership team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining rigorous financial performance.

The role requires visible leadership across Rooms and F&B, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to developing talent in a dynamic luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess substantial and progressive leadership experience as a General Manager in luxury or upper upscale hotels.
• Deep knowledge of Rooms and Food & Beverage operations in a complex service-driven environment.
• Proven P&L management including budgets, forecasts, labor strategies and capital priorities.
• Strong commercial acumen integrating revenue strategy, sales, marketing and operations.
• Ability to build and lead high-performing leadership teams with accountability.
• Understanding of hotel systems, safety regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and annual operating plan for Riggs and drive priorities.
• Lead the property leadership team with clear goals and accountability.
• Be visible across hotel operations and represent Lore Group with stakeholders.
• Own the property P&L and deliver budgeted revenue, profit and cash flow.
• Collaborate with Finance for budgeting, forecasting and capital planning.
• Guide Sales, Revenue, Marketing and F&B to grow demand and optimize mix.
• Ensure luxury guest service standards are upheld throughout the guest journey.
• Address guest feedback and ensure service recovery processes are in place.
• Maintain product quality through regular property inspections and maintenance.
