Job summary

The Charleston Place is seeking a Loading Dock Manager to oversee all aspects of the hotel’s loading dock, receiving, and distribution operations. You will manage safe, efficient inbound/outbound deliveries in a luxury setting, coordinating with vendors and hotel departments to meet five-star standards.

Responsibilities include supervising a team, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring timely movement of OS&E and high-value items across the property.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in logistics, warehouse operations, receiving, or supply chain management; luxury hospitality preferred.
• Forklift certification required, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong understanding of receiving procedures, inventory control, and vendor management.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily loading dock operations, ensuring safe, orderly access at all times.
• Coordinate receiving of OS&E, F&B items, linens, amenities, and packages; route perishables to correct storage.
• Serve as main contact for vendors and delivery drivers; ensure compliance with hotel protocols.
• Directly supervise Mailroom Clerks; participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and organization of the loading dock and receiving areas; monitor fleet equipment and maintenance.
