The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, operated by Sage Hospitality Group, is hiring a General Accountant to support the hotel's financial backbone and ensure accurate postings and reporting. You will work with night auditors, department managers, and AR functions to maintain controls and drive revenue integrity.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, monthly close support, and cross-department collaboration to uphold SOPs and controls, while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Competenze

• One to two years of post-high school education.
• One year of experience in similar role. Accounting background preferred, but not required.
• Requires thorough knowledge of accounting practices in hospitality and related procedures.
• Ability to use MS Office, especially Excel and Word.

Mansioni

• Work with night auditors and department managers to maximize revenues and ensure accuracy of postings through income audit.
• Assist in group billing and manage hotel accounts receivable aging.
• Train other departments on SOPs and audit requirements.
• Analyze financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide recommendations for changes and efficiencies.
• Balance, reconcile and close daily accounts and prepare daily statements for management.
• Respond to guest issues promptly to maintain high service standards.
• Prepare reports to Controller and hotel executives on revenue issues.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner at all times.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
