Job summary

The Kinzie Hotel in downtown Chicago seeks a Hotel Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations on-site. You will direct GAAP/USALI-compliant processes, manage the full accounting cycle, and serve as a business partner to the General Manager, with accountability to Corporate Finance Director.

• Experience with GAAP and USALI guidelines.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage month-end close and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property's general ledger.
• Prepare and record journal entries.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare complete monthly financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting accounting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analyze operating results and investigate variances.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and USALI.
