Job summary

Comstock Companies seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead an on-site maintenance team across multiple communities. The role focuses on safe operation of mechanical systems, high uptime, and superior resident service. Travel between communities is required.

You will manage staff, budgets, and capital projects while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. A strong leadership and technical background in facilities management is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Master Electrician and Plumbing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for on-site maintenance team and safely operate systems.
• Manage staff, assign work, supervise and direct as needed.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service by maintenance staff.
• Develop multi-year capital project plans and manage completion.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other systems.
• Coordinate with Property Manager on budgets and financial reviews.
• Perform site inspections and manage vendor relations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee contractor activities and manage turnovers and work orders.
• Maintain documentation and drawings for regulatory compliance.
