Job summary

The Charleston Place seeks a PM Bellperson to greet guests, assist with luggage, escort guests to rooms, and deliver exceptional service with discretion and attention to detail. This role supports valet and doorman duties as needed and ensures a seamless luxury experience.

You will be the first and last impression, maintaining knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions while upholding grooming and behavior standards. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury hotel or high-end customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Polished appearance and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, local attractions, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure in a professional, courteous manner.
• Assist guests with luggage handling during check-in and check-out.
• Escort guests to rooms and explain room features and hotel services.
• Deliver messages, packages, or room service items discreetly to guest rooms.
• Ensure safe storage and retrieval of luggage at the bell desk.
• Maintain lobby and bell desk cleanliness and organization.
• Coordinate guest transportation needs including taxis, valet, and hotel vehicles.
• Provide directions and local information; assist with guest inquiries.
• Assist with group arrivals, departures, and event logistics.
• Handle guest requests such as couriers, personal items, or locating belongings.
• Keep front drive and lobby area safe and hazard-free.
• Report guest concerns, lost items, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Uphold grooming, uniform, and behavior standards; support valet/doorman duties as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of hotel amenities and city events; participate in emergency procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and hotel information.
