Job summary

Hotel Granduca in Houston, TX seeks a courteous Front Desk Agent to deliver exceptional guest service, manage reservations, and assist with concierge services, integration with PBX and other departments for a seamless stay.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, familiarity with Opera PMS, and strong communication skills. Flexible shifts and the luxury guest experience are core to the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
• Previous luxury hotel or high-end service experience preferred.
• Experience with front desk, concierge, or PBX operations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Opera PMS is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic MS Office software (Word/Outlook).
• Multilingual abilities are a plus (English required).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with professionalism and hospitality and ensure smooth check-in/out.
• Provide concierge recommendations for dining, attractions, and events.
• Log guest requests and coordinate with departments to fulfill them.
• Handle reservation calls, emails, and walk-ins with professionalism.
• Manage bookings, availability, rates, and promotions in the PMS.
• Process room assignments, payments, and special requests.
• Update guest profiles and reservation notes.
• Assist with PBX operations and routing calls as needed.
• Balance daily cash/credit totals per cashiering policies.
• Complete shift checklists, logs, and reports.
• Assist with basic night audit tasks as assigned.
• Deliver mail, messages, and packages to guests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, in-room dining, and engineering.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of front desk and lobby areas.
• Follow emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• Spot and report guest safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in VIP welcome and special guest arrangements.
