Job summary

The Vanderbilt, Auberge Collection in Newport, RI, seeks a Food Runner / Expeditor to ensure swift, precise delivery from kitchen to table, elevating the guest dining experience in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities include relaying orders between front and back of house, ensuring correct dishes, aiding servers, bartenders, and guests, and maintaining clean, organized expediting areas while upholding safety standards. Weekend and holiday availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role in a luxury setting is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Relay orders between front of house and back of house by calling out orders and coordinating with waitstaff.
• Ensure orders are completed accurately, on time, and with correct priority.
• Finish dishes with garnishes and clean presentation as needed.
• Assist servers, bartenders, and guests by taking orders and delivering items efficiently.
• Engage with guests to ensure their needs and beverage satisfaction.
• Operate, maintain, and clean restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Keep expediting area and outlets tidy, organized, and well stocked.
• Serve food in accordance with safety standards and proper temperatures.
• Check with guests after delivery to ensure satisfaction and needs are met.
