Job summary

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, seeks a Conference Services Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of events, conferences, and meetings. You will liaise with clients, manage event logistics, and coordinate with hotel departments to exceed client expectations.

The role requires at least 2 years in a catering or conference services role, fluency in English and Spanish, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Delphi/Opera systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as Catering or Conference Services Manager in a full-service resort or hotel.
• Excellent reading, writing, oral proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Proven interpersonal skills with successful client interactions.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask.
• Ability to negotiate, organize, delegate and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of AV equipment, internet, and telecommunication tech.
• Knowledge of Delphi Sales/Catering Software and Opera PMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of booking contracts from Sales/Catering to guarantee readiness for execution.
• Prepare 90–180 day financial forecasts for Conference Services operations.
• Contribute to additional financial/planning reports as requested by leadership.
• Provide analysis/recommendations for Annual Budget and marketing plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, Area Directors, and Events for cross-department alignment.
• Evaluate sales/revenue strategies to maximize departmental revenue and profit.
• Meet monthly/quarterly/annual revenue goals with strategic planning.
• Finalise all contracted group business and share Group Resumes and BEOs promptly.
• Assure accuracy of banquet/billing reports and audits.
• Oversee banquet events with Banquet Event Management for client satisfaction.
