Job summary

RIVIERA DINING GROUP in Miami Beach is seeking polished Service Captains to lead the guest experience in our luxury dining venues. You will orchestrate seamless service, guide guests through the menu, and communicate orders with precision and professionalism.

The role requires leadership, exceptional hospitality, and mastery of food, wine, and beverage knowledge, with the ability to guide the team through a refined service flow. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume upscale or fine dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and elevated service standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the flow of service by greeting guests and guiding them through the menu.
• Communicate guest orders clearly to servers and support staff.
• Present and announce food and beverage selections with precision and confidence.
• Maintain expert knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergy considerations.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of cocktails, wine pairings, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Support wine service, including proper presentation and glassware usage.
• Ensure all service standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Review daily prep lists and confirm readiness of all service elements prior to each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tableside service areas and equipment.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, attentive, and personalized service.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with team members and management.
• Handle, store, and rotate products properly while maintaining quality.
• Report equipment issues or product concerns to management promptly.
