Job summary

Hamilton Hotel in Washington, DC is seeking a courteous server to deliver meals from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately. You will verify presentation, temperatures, and garnishes, and communicate guest requests to the kitchen and servers.

You will work as part of a luxury hospitality team, maintain a polished dining room, assist with setting and clearing tables, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while providing exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or hospitality experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, luxury environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately.
• Verify presentation, temperature, garnishes, and order accuracy before delivery.
• Communicate guest needs and special requests to servers and kitchen staff.
• Assist servers to provide efficient service throughout the meal.
• Maintain a polished restaurant environment and reset tables as needed.
• Set up and rearrange tables to accommodate larger parties.
• Restock serveware and assist with opening/closing side work.
• Work with bussers, cooks, bartenders and management to ensure smooth service.
• Respond to guest questions courteously and involve the team when necessary.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and departmental policies.
