Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York is seeking an enthusiastic Client Services / Exhibition Staff member to deliver exemplary in-person experiences at Sotheby’s galleries. You will greet visitors, liaise with specialists, and ensure a high standard of service across front of house areas.

Ideal candidates bring outstanding interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work weekends and evenings.

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills with a client service orientation.
• Proven problem solving skills and resourcefulness in time-sensitive scenarios.
• Team player with positive rapport among colleagues.
• Calm demeanor with discretion handling sensitive information.
• Experience in client service, luxury, or hospitality settings.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed.
• Tech savvy and comfortable using calendars and schedules.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Brand Ambassador, presenting a warm, hospitable tone.
• Facilitate a premier in-person experience across front of house spaces.
• Direct visitor flow with timed-entry, queues, and elevator access when needed.
• Assist clients with inquiries, using knowledge of exhibitions, events and locations.
• Coordinate with departments to meet client needs and expectations.
• Support exhibition- and sale-related activities, including bid registrations.
• Demonstrate understanding of the auction process to communicate with clients.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and maintain appropriate front of house attire.
