Job summary

The Sabal House, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is seeking an efficient and self-motivated Assistant General Manager/Operations Manager to oversee all hotel departments under the General Manager. The role focuses on maximizing profitability, controlling costs, and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, staffing, revenue and yield management, and coordinating with third-party media to boost online presence.

Qualifications

• Recent 3+ years Hotel Manager or Operations Manager experience.
• Experience with condo-hotel, vacation rental, or short-term rental operations.
• Strong background in Rooms Division.
• Experience in luxury environment.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Experience in Property Management Software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong cost management skills with budgetary accountability.
• Daily revenue and P&L reporting exposure and knowledge.
• Weekend availability for high volume days.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in daily operations including service standards, promotions, and labor cost management.
• Oversee on-site short term rentals and housekeeping quality.
• Lead staff training on SOPs and guest service standards.
• Manage staffing needs: hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, and motivation.
• Monitor operating expenses and assist in financial budgeting and goals.
• Ensure monthly department meetings and yield management execution.
• Coordinate with marketing to improve SEO and media presence.
• Handle escalated guest complaints with professional service.
• Review reservations and forecast reports for accuracy.
• Maintain property upkeep and ensure health/safety compliance.
