Job summary

Nordstrom Beauty in Houston is seeking a passionate Sales Associate to create personalized beauty experiences for customers, conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products aligned with individual beauty goals. You will drive sales both in-store and online while building a loyal customer base.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team, stay current on beauty trends, host events, and maintain a welcoming, organized department.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Empathy and respect for all customers during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals, including in-store and digital selling with use of selling tools.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services.
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness.
• Stay updated on beauty trends and products through trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
