Job summary

Riviera Dining Group is seeking a reliable barback to support luxury dining operations in a high-volume setting. You will prepare garnishes, batches, and beverages, stock barware and ingredients, and assist bartenders to maintain a smooth service.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of upscale dining or cocktail bar experience, a state food handling certificate, and strong attention to detail with excellent communication. This role requires flexibility and physical endurance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in high-volume upscale dining or cocktail bar.
• State-compliant food handling certificate required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare garnishes, batches, and beverages per recipes and procedures.
• Stock barware, glassware, and ingredients for service.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage recipes, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
• Manage bar inventory and document items like juices and dry goods.
• Assist with bar orders, requisitions, and communicate 86’d items to management.
• Monitor alcohol service to ensure responsible consumption and guest needs.
• Operate bar equipment and report maintenance or quality issues.
• Follow sanitation standards and health regulations at all times.
• Respond to changing operational needs and support teammates.
• Contribute to a positive, professional work environment.
