Job summary

DC Global Talent Inc. is seeking a Bar Manager for a luxury hotel in Boston. This senior F&B leadership role requires deep wine, spirits, and bar operations expertise, with a focus on delivering an attentive guest experience.

You will lead a bar team, manage floor presence, ensure compliance with alcohol laws, and collaborate on menu development with the F&B director and culinary team. Strong leadership and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years as department head or 2–3 years as assistant manager in a luxury hotel F&B environment.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, wine, spirits, cost control, labour management, and bar operations.
• Forbes experience is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a high-standards luxury environment.
• Experience with F&B computer systems and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• College degree in hospitality, restaurant management, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid US work authorization required - visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and develop the bar team, including supervisors and assistant managers, ensuring service and cultural standards are met.
• Maintain a visible guest-facing presence on the floor, build relationships with regular guests, and handle complaints professionally.
• Bring expert knowledge of wine and spirits to the operation and ensure quality across all beverage items.
• Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal laws relating to alcohol service and consumption.
• Collaborate with the Director of F&B and culinary team on menu and wine list development.
• Control labour and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management.
• Monitor the physical condition of the outlet and equipment, and recommend improvements.
• Attend operational meetings to ensure strong coordination across departments.
