Montage Hotels & Resorts in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a General Manager for Bar Pendry. You will lead the bar’s food and beverage operations, drive exceptional guest service, and optimize financial results while fostering a positive associate culture.

The role requires hands-on leadership, supervising staff, coordinating with F&B and sales teams, maintaining luxury standards, and ensuring safety, training, scheduling, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Prior Food and Beverage Management experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
• Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Embrace Technology - continually learn, adapt and master to new operating system.
• Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls such as labor, productivity, food cost and other expenses.
• Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.
• Budgetary analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, late evenings and holidays.
• High volume bar experience.
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Responsabilités

• Drive service culture by circulating on the bar floor, continually checking with guests and service staff to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage leaders and Sales & Marketing team to drive revenues through thoughtful beverage programs.
• Maintain a luxury environment at all times through processes and close oversight of music, programming and capacity.
• Aiding in the training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all bar Associates.
• Handling guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
• Recognizing luxury resort guests and Elwood members in a welcoming/efficient manner.
• Close communication and relationship with Elwood Club to ensure resort guests are properly relocated to the club as needed.
• Monitoring and supervising the set up and maintenance of the bar to ensure that it is meeting or exceeding standards.
• Organizing, building, and maintaining a professional work environment.
• Recruiting and training all bar Associates, ensuring staff continually improves their performance.
• Managing overall profit and loss statements.
• Monitoring overtime and ensure proper clock in/clock out procedures are followed.
• Organizing and conducting pre-shift departmental meetings and communicating pertinent information to Associates.
• Ensuring par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, and retrieving supplies and stocking shelves.
• Completing reports on production, filling out necessary requisitions and controlling distribution of necessary supplies.
• Ensuring the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies.
• Creating an overall welcoming and positive work culture for associates.
• Support, participate and drive all learning and associate recognition programs
