Job summary

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a part-time Banquet Bartender to ensure beverage service for resort functions meets Omni's standards. Qualifications

• Banquet service experience preferred.
• Must have unexpired TABC license (or obtain upon hire).
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Excellent knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork-oriented and positive attitude.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages according to established service standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
• Adhere to liquor liability laws and verify guest ages.
• Monitor guest alcohol intake and refuse service to intoxicated patrons.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age is met.
• Engage with guests and respond to feedback positively.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar and service area.
• Restock bar with products and equipment as needed.
• Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOS) and attend pre-meal meetings.
• Attend department trainings and other required activities.
