Job summary

Solage, Auberge Collection in Calistoga is seeking a Bartender who will be the heartbeat of the experience, crafting drinks with care and contributing to a welcoming social atmosphere. You will master beverage and wine knowledge, follow recipes, and comply with state liquor laws while maintaining a secure, organized bar.

Flexibility for weekends and holidays and prior luxury hospitality experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Be thoroughly familiar with beverage and wine.
• Be familiar with and follow all standard of beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy without deviations.
• Operate within full compliance of state liquor laws and regulations.
• All liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages must be prechecked prior to serving when not a hosted function and all charges going to the master account.
• Follow established requisitioning procedures for the banquet bar set up.
• Bar areas are to be properly secured and locked at the end of the shift.
• Set up banquet bars utilizing banquet beverage requisition for assigned function per BEO
• Prepare fruit (garnish) tray and make sure the bar has all mixers and equipment such as pourers, strainer, shaker, etc.
• At the end of the function return stock counts for all beverages
• Clean banquet bar and equipment at the end of the function before returning them to the storage area.
• Never leave the bar unattended and always maintain a professional posture.
