Job summary

Mitchell Auto Group’s Mitchell Volvo Cars in Simsbury, CT is seeking a full-time Parts Counterperson to support technicians and customers. You’ll greet customers, procure parts, process orders, and ensure accurate billing while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of auto parts, strong attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced automotive environment. This role emphasizes customer service and teamwork in a friendly dealership setting.

Qualifications

Experience in a customer-facing parts role is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
Knowledge of auto parts and repair processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Immediately acknowledge customers and assist them in procuring the needed parts and accessories.
Track lost sales and follow up on potential opportunities.
Assist customers in carrying out their parts orders.
Procure needed parts not in stock using daily or critical orders.
Answer phone calls promptly and identify the department and your name.
Prepare billing documentation using ERA system.
Assist internal customers including technicians, sales staff and managers.
Fill orders from stock or source from other dealers or manufacturers.
Communicate availability issues with management and team members.
Receive warranty return parts and tag them for processing.
