Job summary

Carousel Fine Art seeks a goal-oriented sales consultant for our Chicago River North gallery. The role focuses on earning and retaining client relationships, closing high-ticket deals, and guiding collectors with trusted advice.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent listener, and comfortable in a sales-driven environment without being pushy. Weekend availability and occasional evenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in selling high-value items or services
• Background in art, design, luxury retail, hospitality, or client advisory role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for contemporary art and design
• Ability to manage relationships, follow-through, and details with consistency
• Proficient with Google Drive, Photoshop, Canva, Monday.com and related apps

Responsibilities

• Build authentic, long-term relationships with collectors, designers, and art-curious clients
• Act as a trusted advisor—listening first, guiding thoughtfully, and matching clients with the right works
• Help clients reach the final steps of owning an artwork with organized follow-up
• Create a welcoming gallery atmosphere that encourages conversation and return visits
• Represent the gallery at local events and participate in Chicago design communities
• Collaborate with internal teams on sales strategy, artist knowledge, and inventory
• Maintain strong follow-up, CRM organization, and client communication
• Support gallery operations, inventory receiving/reporting, and sales recording with precision
• Contribute ideas and energy while being a reliable team player
