Job summary

CHANEL Soho in New York is seeking an Alterations Specialist to deliver high-quality alterations on luxury garments within established timeframes and provide exceptional client service in-store. You will fit garments, manage client pieces, advise on styling, operate sewing equipment, and uphold CHANEL standards.

Minimum 5 years of luxury alterations experience is preferred; a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and some holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Alter and repair clients' garments, including hems, seams, and fittings.
• Fit garments on clients to determine alteration approach.
• Maintain and organize client pieces per CHANEL standards.
• Interact with clients to offer styling and fitting advice.
• Ensure sewing machines and equipment are properly maintained.
