Job summary

Bloomingdale’s in Hackensack, NJ is seeking an Alterations Manager to lead the alterations operation with craftsmanship and operational excellence, delivering a premium client experience. This role focuses on developing and coaching the alterations team, partnering with store leadership, and aligning alterations priorities with sales and service objectives.

You will manage payroll and supplies, monitor productivity and profitability, oversee fittings and complex alterations, and uphold safety

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years direct experience in alterations.
Prior leadership experience is required.
Basic computer skills for administrative responsibilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of alterations colleagues, coaching and evaluating performance.
Educate and support selling colleagues on alterations capabilities and fit.
Partner with Store Leadership to align priorities with sales and service goals.
Manage payroll, supplies and non-payroll expenses to meet financial goals.
Ensure timely completion of work with high quality and safety standards.
