Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking a dedicated spa attendant to ensure the smooth operation of locker rooms, float pool, and relaxation spaces while delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests in spa areas.

You will uphold luxury standards, maintain discretion, and support the F&B team as needed. This role requires teamwork, reliability and a strong guest-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Must be able to perform a variety of responsibilities, including guest service, cleaning and maintenance of Locker Room.
• Must be able to deal with people in a professional manner under pressure.
• Must be flexible in work scheduling.
• Must be able to perform some strenuous physical labor (lifting boxes and laundry).
• Confidentiality with co-workers and clients regarding ANY in-house practices is a must.
• Professional appearance.
• Must be dignified, trustworthy, accountable and friendly.

• Adhere to all standard policies and procedures.
• Perform all guest activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, at all times maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude with management and fellow associates in all Houstonian departments.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards co-workers and the job being performed.
• Report to work on time in a properly cleaned and pressed uniform.
• Takes care of guest needs, ensuring that supplies are available and that the facilities are kept clean and in safe condition at all times.
• Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
• Adheres to The Houstonian and Trellis standards for guest service.
• Refers guest problems or complaints to management.
• Always assist in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all public areas.
• Monitors guests, ensuring their safety by showing them proper use of facilities; monitors guest use of facilities, making sure that guests do not endanger themselves with overuse of facilities.
• Monitors and maintains outdoor pools, Jacuzzis and steam rooms, notifies Management when facilities need servicing.
• Maintain proper and accurate guest locker assignments.
• Assist other departments whenever necessary including Hair and Nail and Food and Beverage teams.
• Attend all training sessions, learning new techniques to be used in the performance of the job.
• Responsible for refreshing clean and removing dirty linen from pool areas.
• Attend all staff meetings.
• Clock in and out at every shift.
• Report and turn in to management any lost and found items.
• Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
• Support fellow staff members by noticing how they are feeling and providing compassion.
• Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
