Job summary

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to clean guest rooms to luxury standards, keep the housekeeping cart organized, and support general cleaning tasks. The role involves serving both occupied and departed rooms within the hotel environment.

Flexibility is required to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training new employees and maintaining discretion and professionalism are also key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Housekeeping/JANITORIAL experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily work with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Be respectful and cooperative with team members.
• Handle safe use of chemicals and select appropriate chemicals and tools for each task.
• Recognize amenities and collateral materials and ensure each guest room is properly equipped.
• Be familiar with service standards and comply in each guest room.
• Maintain service cart, equipment and supplies in an orderly fashion.
• Respond to changing business needs and guest requests.
• Report maintenance problems to supervision for correction.
• Other duties as assigned.
