The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston is seeking a Pool Server to deliver exceptional guest service in a Forbes Five-Star environment. You will greet guests, take drink orders, explain the menu, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant server or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury or Forbes properties preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus and dietary restrictions.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol.
• Know the menu and be able to explain items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time and together.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, with good presentation and timely service for the whole table.
• Check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management as needed.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Comply with all federal and state laws, including FLSA tip regulations.
