Job summary

The National, Autograph Collection in Oklahoma City is hiring a Building Engineer to support the property's maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas.

Ideal candidates bring experience in commercial building maintenance and multiple trades, with a focus on safety and reliability. You will work across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and related systems to keep the hotel operating at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial building, hotel, facilities, or property maintenance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance and multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, carpentry, carpet repair).
• Previous hotel or hospitality engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.
• Experience operating power tools and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Responding to maintenance service calls and addressing maintenance needs across the property.
• Performing basic repairs and preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, and other hotel areas.
• Working across multiple maintenance trades to support operations (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, carpet repair).
• Prioritizing work orders and urgent requests to minimize disruption to guests and operations.
• Inspecting machinery and building systems to ensure safety and reliability.
• Maintaining organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Providing timely maintenance support to hotel departments and leadership.
• Keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized during projects.
• Assisting with outdoor maintenance tasks as needed.
