Job summary

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the Engineering team in preserving and repairing hotel equipment, and to serve as a first responder in emergencies. You will assist the Engineering Supervisor, ensuring safety and reliable operation of critical systems across the property.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Prior maintenance/engineering experience required, preferably in a large convention sized hotel.
• Thorough working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Be the knowledgeable "specialist" in at least 2 areas.
• Must be familiar with all common guest requests and how to resolve them.
• Must understand how to obtain trend information for issues and perform a trend analysis.
• Be able to fully understand, read and write in the English language for professional and clear communication with guests.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a wide variety of equipment and components.
• Maintain all Refrigeration, HVAC, Kitchen and Laundry equipment in the building.
• Work independently with mechanical, thermal, and chemical systems.
• Work independently with electrical voltages up to 480 volts.
• Work independently with refrigerants excluding automotive, RV and ammonia systems.
• Work independently around pressurized systems with pressures >400 psi.
• Work independently with pumps of varying types, sizes and capacities.
• Perform repairs from ladders up to 12' high.
• Use oxy-acetylene torch and welding equipment.
• Operate with hand tools such as drills, hammers, knives, wrenches, screwdrivers.
• Work in extreme temperatures (-20 to 100+ F).
• Utilize PPE, lockout/tagout and safety equipment.
• Understand and work with systems like telephone switch, guest/employee networks, door lock system, BMS and work order system (Synergy).
• Prioritize workload in dynamic environment.
• Receive and update work requests from Synergy.
• Complete documents/logs daily or per project.
• Maintain inventory and order equipment supplies.
• Understand Omni fire alarm procedures and emergencies.
• Follow all Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
• Understand lockout/tagout and arc-flash precautions.
• Maintain equipment per preventive maintenance program.
• Make repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Detect trends indicating issues.
• Maintain engineering shops.
