Job summary

The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Collection in Los Olivos is seeking a Bartender to curate memorable beverages and deliver attentive service in a luxury setting. You will assist with drink preparation, attend to guests, and uphold high standards across bar and restaurant outlets.

Applicants should have at least one year of hospitality bartending experience, strong knowledge of spirits, beer and wine, and a professional appearance. Flexible weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• One year experience in foodservice/hospitality as a bartender preferred.
• Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner; ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as department needs.
• State and local certifications such as food handlers or alcohol training where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in beverage and drink preparation, service of the bar area and restaurant in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs and satisfaction with beverages; ensure high-quality service.
• Be knowledgeable about menu drinks to aid guest choices based on likes/dislikes.
• Comply with standards within Bar and Restaurant outlets.
• Contribute to improving F&B sales by knowledge of drinks, cocktails, and prices.
• Take and input orders quickly in Micros; ensure correct timing and billing.
• Prepare guest checks accurately and collect payment or signature as required.
• Operate, maintain and clean bar equipment and fittings.
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
