Job summary

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, CA, is seeking a Server for The Restaurant at JUSTIN, a Michelin‑starred dining venue, to guide service flow and oversee wine service with Court of Master Sommeliers standards.

The role requires 5+ years of fine‑dining experience, English fluency, and full‑time availability including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fine‑dining service at Forbes 5‑star or MICHELIN restaurants.
• Expert knowledge of fine dining service, wine and menu fluency, confident leadership and delegation skills, and ability to deliver gracious, detail‑driven hospitality.
• Food Handler’s Card.
• Clear and calm verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Guide service flow, support real‑time decision‑making, and ensure guest interactions reflect the graciousness and precision of The Restaurant at JUSTIN.
• Provide an excellent customer experience to uphold Forbes 5‑star services and follow all company and safety procedures.
• Assist with dining room setup, including linens, glassware, silverware, tabletop details, and equipment.
• Manage beverage service: taste, open, and pour wines; serve and describe wines according to Court of Master Sommeliers standards.
• Deliver and clear food courses in coordination with 5‑Star Service standards.
• Speak about food with accuracy, elegance, and avoid slang.
• Provide knowledgeable, graceful, attentive service with natural timing and a warm approach.
• Oversee table maintenance through delegation or direct action.
• Maintain clean and organized service stations and side work areas during the shift.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all interior and exterior guest areas.
• Reset and flip tables with speed and attention to detail.
• Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs and requests.
• Communicate special table needs and guest requests to the kitchen.
• Break down and close the dining room post‑service, including polishing, organizing, and restocking service tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, well‑kept uniform and professional appearance.
• Participate and ensure compliance with all opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
• Keep up to date on new JUSTIN releases and viticulture and winemaking techniques.
