Job summary

The David Yurman Internship Program in New York City offers a paid 9-week experience for students and early professionals in the luxury jewelry industry. The 3D Design Intern will support the Creative Visual Services team with 3D modeling, renderings, and design concepts for window displays and events.

Based in New York, this hybrid position provides mentorship, networking, and exposure to materials, fabrication, and industry insights within a celebrated brand.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Rhino 3D or comparable software.
• Familiarity with rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong visual sense of form, color, materials, and proportion.
• Ability to translate direction into digital models and visuals.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in luxury retail, experiential design, and visual merchandising.
• Curiosity about materials, fabrication processes, and emerging design technologies.
• Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting) is a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and realistic renderings for window displays, retail environments, fixtures, and events.
• Prepare presentations, technical drawings, and design documentation for internal reviews and fabrication.
• Translate sketches, reference imagery, and creative direction into developed design concepts and visualizations.
• Research innovative materials, fabrication techniques, emerging technologies, and relevant art and design references.
• Explore creative solutions with consideration for materiality, scale, proportion, and spatial composition.
• Collaborate within the Creative Visual Services team, and with the Visual Merchandising team to develop and refine concepts.
• Organize digital assets and support multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
