Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to support the lung transplant service. The APP will work with transplant pulmonologists to manage inpatient adult transplant patients, including immunosuppression and respiratory care, with cross-coverage to outpatient clinics as needed.

Role emphasizes collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons, pharmacists, and coordinators.

Qualifications

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
• MSN degree in nursing.
• Graduate of a NP program eligible to sit for national certifying exam.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.
• ACNP strongly preferred; 0-2 years ICU, cardiac, transplant or hospitalist experience preferred.
• PA-C route: eligible for Ohio licensure; 0 years experience; 0-2 years ICU, cardiac, transplant or hospitalist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients in collaboration with licensed physicians.
• Care for patients in acute and chronic conditions; health promotion and prevention.
• Education and counseling of patients and families; referral to resources as appropriate.
